 For many centuries, a flag was the symbol to visualize the coherence of a group of people. The age set of 1907 started this tradition within the age set society.
The flag or color bearer of an age set will be the one preceding all members of an age set during the yearly parade in the streets of Leuven. This parade takes place on the second Sunday of September where each age set proudly show their flag, costume, and of course themselves.
